Some things in life are just awkward. Here's some that I notice
- When we look at the clock, sometimes at first it seems like the clock froze for more than a second
- When we shake our hands with non-malays we're unsure if we should shake our hands or not
- When we take our hand-shaken hands and place to our chest as a sign of respect to people who doesn't know about this, people will take another look at you
- Everytime when we are unsatisfied we will sigh
- When we dream, we dream about the most random things
- Milo Ice at the restaurant is always better than the one we made at home
- When we are online, we have no idea what to do, but when we're not, there's a lot to do
- We find it easy to argue on anything
- We prefer the American slang rather our actual roots which is British
- McD's French Fries is better than KFC's
- Math always seems easier outside of the exam hall
- It is when we need to hold still that we felt like moving
- It is when there's no toilet nearby that we need to visit one
- Instant noodle is the best friend when other food just won't do it
- People refer to instant noodles as Maggie, regardless of their brand
- People refer baby diapers as Pampers, regardless of their brand
- People refer to butter as Planta, regardless of their brand
- People refer to camera films as Kodak, regardless of their brand
- England, United Kingdom, or Great Britain?
- Small change after buying stuffs gets abandoned
- We always don't have money when we saw the thing that we really want
- Complaints of not having enough rest, but gets bored on holidays
- Deja Vu
- Long pause in phone calls
- Musician always count to 4 before start playing live music
- When you accidentally answered the "Hi!" dedicated to the person behind you
- In a shop, when we asked about where things are to another customer who we thought are one of the worker
- When we hear loud baby cries when we are having fun somewhere such as restaurants and cinemas
- When we're trying to pass but there's another person right in front trying to give way, it seems that both of us still go in the same way
- Wearing a cap indoors as if it was hot
- Wearing sunglasses at night
- When people asked for burgers with no vegetables at a fast food restaurant
- When we laugh alone in dead silence
- When we're the only voice to be heard in dead silence
- When our jokes aren't funny and it became dead silence
- People see us talking to ourselves
- When we sneeze covering our noses but there are mucus coming out and there's no tissue
- The faces that we make after tasting something extremely sour or salty
- When you sent messages to the wrong people
- When you see people pay for things that costs more than a ringgit with just coins
- When you place your stuff on the other seat in a fully packed bus or train
- When you noticed that there have been stains on your clothes for a while
- When you thought you were talking to a friend that was near you only to notice that he/she isn't there
- When you accidentally got out of your shoes while running
- When you missed a step going upwards or downwards with people watching
- When you sat at the wrong chair in the cinema only to be greeted by "Excuse me, that's mine"
- When you call a person's mobile phone and someone else picks it up
- When you accidentally switched of the lights in a room with people in it
- In football, when another player scores, you can see other players touching the scorer
- When you looked for the item you lost while cursing, only to find out that it's in your pocket
- When you brought all of the things that you want to buy to the counter only to notice that you don't have enough money
- When your car's engine dies in a traffic jam and everyone stalls because of you
- When you find out that the reason of the big traffic jam is just people slowing down to watch another guy stopping by the road of a punctured tyre.
- When you jump into a conversation only to find out that they're actually talking about something else
- When you bought an ice-cream and it fell onto the floor
- When going through the ladies undergarment section in shopping malls
- When people swear/curse with spelling or grammatical error
Of course this doesn't apply to everyone nor all the time but to those who have been in the situation, you'll know. And I'm sure there's more too. Can't seem to recall it right now. Tell me more if you have any!
